Popular South Korean Fried Chicken Chain Bonchon is Finally Coming to Tampa

Exciting news for Tampa foodies: the popular South Korean fried chicken chain, Bonchon, is set to make its debut in the USF area! After over a year of anticipation and rumors, Bonchon has finally confirmed its new location at 2308 E Fletcher Ave., sharing a plaza with Taco Bus and Domino's.
For those who haven't had the pleasure, Bonchon is a favorite of rapper Action Bronson, who featured the New York location on his "Fuck, That's Delicious" series for Viceland. Known for its double-fried, extra crispy Korean wings, Bonchon also offers a diverse menu including bibimbap bowls, pork belly buns, Korean tacos, bulgogi fries, and a full beer and wine selection.
Bonchon first made its way to Florida in 2017 with a location in Orlando and has since expanded to St. Johns and Jacksonville. The Tampa location will join a vibrant food scene with existing Korean fried chicken options like K-Chicken & Grill on Dale Mabry, bb.q Chicken in Carrollwood, and Soul of Korea in Temple Terrace.
While an exact opening date hasn't been announced, there's speculation that the Tampa Bonchon may open its doors by mid to late August. Keep an eye out for this exciting new addition to our local dining options!
